Frank DiMeo has always been an astute observer of human beings, their interactions, and of light.
Many have said that Frank has a magical ability to capture the inner essence of a person. The images he creates are overflowing with emotion and he is always in the right place at the right time. Frank’s creativity and technical abilities are second to none. His predominant style is creative wedding photojournalism.

What pleases him most is when someone says, “Wow, you took that photo? I didn’t even know you were there.” Over ten years ago while working as a photographer at Cornell University Frank began photographing weddings for people who knew him and his work, and insisted that he shoot for them.

Strictly through word-of-mouth, Frank has quickly become one of the most sought after and accredited wedding photographers in the country. Frank’s strong passion for photography and interest in people has earned him many distinguishing awards. He is a Kodak/R.I.T. scholar, and valedictorian of the Professional Photography class of ‘92. In 2001 The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (C.A.S.E.) named him one of their photographers of the year. C.A.S.E. represents all of the University photographers in the country and this is their most prestigious award.

Recently one of Frank’s wedding images was chosen as the Grand Prize winner in the Photo District News/Top Knots: New School of Wedding Photography Contest sponsored by Nikon, Bogen Imaging, Pictage, and In-Style Weddings Magazine. He has also been honored with two esteemed International Lucie Awards, and has been selected as a finalist in the Best of Weddings contest for 2006-2007, and 2007-2008. Frank is the recipient of several grants, and has exhibited nationally in venues such as the Albright Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, where he’s won the best of show numerous times. Additionally, his work has been featured on the cover of Time Magazine, in Newsweek, USA Today, The NY Times, PDN, and many other well-known publications
