Katie and Matt

Wow, it has been a rough shooting week. First the wedding on Saturday where it rained all day (that really took a lot out of me), then I did an engagement shoot for Katie and Matt on Tuesday, and on Friday I shot artwork and portraits all day. Adding a couple of meetings to the mix, post production on a big Cornell shoot, traveling all over the state, and very little sleep has left me quite exhausted. I need to rest a little before round two of six weddings in a row starts up next week.

Thank you so much Katie and Matt for your patience. I know you are excited to see the pix and I worked on them until late so I could get them up for you before I head to Buffalo for another meeting and then Rochester. I felt I needed to apologize because we did the engagement shoot four days ago and I usually like to get things up on the blog the same day, or the following day at the latest.

Lets get to Katie and Matt. Well, I am again blessed with another wonderful couple for next year. Katie and I shared a few emails and she booked without having a package determined, or ever meeting. I love when that happens because I felt a connection to her before we ever even saw each other. When we finally did meet, I knew immediately that they were a fun couple. We talked for a while, still don’t have a package determined (but that is no problem,) then went and did some kickin images. After that they bought me a great lunch at the Asia Restaurant (thanks again) and we went and shot some more at Ithaca Falls. All together we spent about six hours together and had a great time. The images are a bonus. What is really important is that we got to spend some time together, get to know each other, and form a relationship. That is the biggest reason I push these engagements shoots. It allows us to become friends, and so much more connected. Like I have said before, we are talking about one of the most monumental days in their life and they have chosen me to capture it for them. To me this is a great honor and I do not take it lightly. We will laugh and cry together many times in the future. Sharing these emotions is what allows me to do what I do, and is why I do what I do. It is all about life and living life. My life gets better every time someone like these two come into it.

Thanks for the great day Katie and Matt, hope the wait was worth it.

Frank! These are so fantastic. First of all, we had the best time hanging out with you in Ithaca and getting these images. It was so relaxed, fun, and different and we talked about the day and you, the whole way back to Saratoga Springs. Anyone looking at this and wondering if they should book Frank, definitely go for it! We can’t do justice to what a wonderful person and hard worker he is over email. And the images…..we have some friends over this weekend and everyone is going nuts! Thanks so much for doing this for us and we can’t wait to have you shoot our wedding and work with you this year!

    Thanks again - so excited!
    Love,
    Katie and Matt

The photos look great, as usual!

I am glad that you got some rest and made it to the Cowley’s with everyone.

That wedding went great… we’ll have to shoot together again soon.
